I love the beach and the bonus is a sunrise or a sunset, depending on your location. It always reminds me of God’s promise: the promise of a new day.
It’s not just a beach. It is a place for clarity, rest and healing. When I am at the beach, I am at peace. I listen to the waves, watch the birds and enjoy the beauty of this world. I’ve been going to the beach for a few years now and it never gets old. Every day brings new beauty. When I look out over the ocean, I am reminded of the magnitude of God and His unending love for us. I am reminded of this verse:
And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how deep, how high, and how deep His love is. Ephesians 2:18 (NLT)
Beach…land, sea, birds
I’m so glad God made land and the seas because it’s just magnificent. Amazingly, people gather on the beach to see the sun rise and set, me included. I love to sit and read the Bible early in the morning. At the beach, I feel close to God. Being by God’s creation, brings me peace. I believe that He knew we would need a place of peace and rest so He created the beach just for us.
God created ..the beach
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.
6 And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” 7 So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. 8 God called the vault “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.
9 And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. 10 God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.” Genesis 1:1-10 (NIV)
Peace is seeing a sunset or sunrise and knowing who to thank.
